Description
Miss DNA takes a well-known DNA Genetics pairing and puts it into an easier autoflowering format. These are feminised autoflowering seeds from DNA Genetics Seeds, built from Miss DNA x Ruderalis. The Miss DNA side comes from Kosher Kush x Strawberry Banana, so there’s a proper mix of Kush weight and sweet fruit in the background rather than a vague fruity auto with a famous name attached.
The parentage is a big part of the appeal. Kosher Kush is a Los Angeles indica line known for heavy yields and High Times Cannabis Cup wins in 2010 and 2011. Strawberry Banana adds tropical sweetness and strong resin production, and is also noted for Cannabis Cup success in extracts. In Miss DNA Auto, those genetics are crossed with Ruderalis to give the automatic flowering behaviour while keeping the strain’s indica-dominant character.
Miss DNA is described as around 60% indica and 40% sativa. That balance comes through in the way it’s presented: relaxing and full-bodied, but not completely flat or one-note. The first part of the effect is often described as happy, gently euphoric and a little creative, before the heavier Kush side settles in with a calmer body feel. Larger amounts are said to bring out the more sedating side, so it’s better suited to quiet evenings than busy daytime plans.
Flavour is where this one earns a lot of attention. Expect sweet fruit up front, with ripe strawberry and creamy banana notes from the Strawberry Banana parent. Under that sits a more earthy Kush layer, with pine, pepper and a touch of herbal spice on the finish. The aroma can be strong, citrusy and fruity with deeper earthy notes, so it isn’t the most discreet choice if smell control is a concern indoors.
The plant itself is described as indica-leaning in structure, with a bushy frame, sturdy branching and dense, resin-heavy buds. The flowers can be very frosty, sticky to the touch and pale-looking from the amount of trichome coverage. Some plants may show purple hints in the calyxes, with burnt orange pistils adding a bit of colour at maturity.
For timing, Miss DNA Auto is listed with a 9–10 week flowering time. The available auto listing gives indoor yield at 1–1.40 oz./m2. Earlier Miss DNA cultivation notes describe the non-auto line as manageable for newer growers and still interesting for experienced growers, with a medium-to-tall, bushy build and a taste for straightforward feeding. For the auto version, the Ruderalis cross is the key practical difference: it flowers automatically rather than relying on a photoperiod light change.
Good airflow matters because the buds are dense and resinous. Indoors, training methods such as low stress training, topping, FIMming, SCROG and light pruning are all mentioned as useful with Miss DNA’s bushy growth style, mainly to open the canopy and let light and air reach more of the plant. The line is also described as fairly resistant to pests and disease, with a forgiving nature when basic care is in place.
Miss DNA Auto suits growers who like sweet, resinous indica-dominant genetics but want the simpler timing of an autoflowering plant. The strongest reasons to pick it are the Kosher Kush and Strawberry Banana background, the dessert-fruit and Kush-spice profile, and the calm effect that can become heavier later on.
