Chronic is our most commercial variety, this medium height, not too dense plant is the perfect combination of very good yield and excellent quality. Smokers who appreciate high-quality and grow for themselves choose this plant for its combination of appearance and sweet smell. With its Indica genetic background Chronic can produce up to 600 g/m2 without losing that special connoisseur feeling. Grows a single huge central bud with few side branches. Topping of the plants to encourage the devlopment of multiple big side buds is possible, but the total yield can be a little less this way. A sweet smell develops while flowering and this aroma will be maintained in the finished weed, if it is dried and cured well before packaging. Putting the Chronic in plastic bags before it is thoroughly dry will destroy the subtle fragrance forever, making it mediocre weed. Out of all our strains, this is the best choice for growers who are tired of losing quality while increasing yield. Already a winner of the 3rd prize at the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1994, this variety was improved in 2000. 1st prize at La Bella Flor Cup Spain 2003 (by Ezequiel) and 1st prize at Highlife Cup Spain 2004 (by Mundo Ganja, Alicante). 2nd prize Highlife Cup Spain 2004, category: Hydroponic (by Perenne Grow, Barcelona). Last award won by Chronic: 2nd prize El Punto Cup 2005, category: Outdoor, Málaga, Spain.
Strain FAQ
Are regular seeds a good sustainable choice?
Regular seeds are wonderful because they can produce a cycle of male and female plants that can be passed down through the generations without the need to constantly buy fresh seeds.
What terpenes contribute to the floral taste?
Humulene and myrcene's earthy and musky overtones enrich the scent. Myrcene's reported potential to intensify THC's effects make it more intriguing.
Do High-THC strains require specific legal growing conditions?
High-THC strains are said to require extra care to reach their high THC level potential. To maximise THC expression, lighting, temperature, and nutrition must reportedly be perfect. Legal growers use a variety of ingenious methods to meet these markers and let each plant shine!
How does sun sensitivity affect late October finishing strains?
These photoperiodic strains are said to need precise light conditions to flower. At summer's conclusion, they naturally blossom when daylight decreases.
Where do indica strains come from and how does this effect their development?
Indica strains come from the harsh Hindu Kush mountains on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. These plants are strong and durable because of the unforgiving climate they evolved in, which allows them to thrive even under poor conditions. They seem naturally equipped to manage tough terrain and hard times.
