Description
Permanent Marker is a 70% indica and 30% sativa Cookies-family cultivar from Royal Queen Seeds, available here as feminised seeds. It’s built from (Biscotti x Sherb) x Jealousy, giving it the dessert sweetness, creamy candy notes, resin output and modern high-THC feel that have made this line so talked about.
The parentage matters here. Biscotti brings a sweet, dessert-like side and a dense indica-leaning structure. Sherbert BX1 adds creamy candy flavour and can bring colourful fades. Jealousy adds extra resin, a layered terpene profile and that more recent Cookies-style potency. Royal Queen Seeds selected this Permanent Marker line for dense resin production, a loud candy-diesel nose and dependable photoperiod growth.
THC is listed at up to 28%, with low CBD. The effect starts with a bright euphoric lift that can feel upbeat and creative, then settles into a more physically relaxing indica weight. It’s a strong, long-lasting option rather than a mild daytime smoke, so the appeal is very much in its potency and depth.
The flavour is one of the better reasons to look at it. Permanent Marker opens with candy sweetness on the inhale, then brings in herbal depth, cracked pepper and a diesel edge that hangs around. Once cured buds are broken apart, the sharper fuel and spice notes push harder through the sweeter top notes.
Indoors, plants usually stay manageable at around 80–120 cm, with expected yields of about 500–550 g/m² under strong lighting. Outdoors, they can reach 140–180 cm and produce roughly 500–600 g per plant, with harvest falling in October in suitable climates. Flowering is given as 55–65 days, or about 8–10 weeks, which leaves a sensible window for judging resin, aroma and ripeness.
Bud density is an important growing point. Late in bloom, consistent airflow helps manage moisture around the heavier flowers. Light training and moderate defoliation are also recommended to improve canopy penetration and support more even development on lower bud sites. Permanent Marker suits growers who want strong Cookies genetics with a sweet, gassy profile, but who are also prepared to keep the canopy tidy as the flowers bulk up.
