Description
Tropicanna Cherry XL Auto is a 5th generation extra-large auto from Sweet Seeds, available as feminised autoflowering seeds. It crosses Tropicana Cherry with Tropicanna Poison XL Auto, using a parent already known in the Sweet Seeds range for colour, resin and exotic terpene character.
The balance is very close to even: 50% sativa, 49.2% indica and 0.8% ruderalis. That small ruderalis share gives the automatic flowering trait, while the rest of the profile keeps the plant in the fruity, resin-heavy Tropicanna family. THC is listed at 18–25%, with approximately 0.1% CBD.
Plants are described as sleek, vigorous and well branched, with long lateral branches and large, compact flowers. Height runs from 60–125 cm, so it has more reach than many smaller autos without becoming an unwieldy monster. The buds carry plenty of trichomes, and Sweet Seeds points to this one as a strong choice for resin production and quality extractions.
Colour is part of the appeal too. Expect deep green flowers with orange pistils, and reddish tones can appear towards the end of flowering. The full cycle is given as 8–9 weeks from germination, which keeps it firmly in quick auto territory despite the XL label.
Indoor yields are listed at 450–600 g/m² under artificial lighting. Outdoors, with good sun, soil and nutrition, Sweet Seeds gives a range of 50–170 g per plant. The structure is naturally branchy, with compact bud formation across the plant rather than a single-column style.
The aroma is one of the strongest reasons to look at Tropicanna Cherry XL Auto. It mixes bright citrus with ripe cherry and blood orange, then adds sweet cookie-like notes and a spicy background. The data sheet also mentions sweet cream, which fits the smoother dessert side of the profile rather than turning it into a simple fruit strain.
The effect is described as powerful, cheerful and stimulating. Sweet Seeds presents it as a sociable, upbeat line, with a creative lift and a positive mood rather than a heavy, sleepy finish. That makes it better matched to active evenings, conversation and creative sessions than to anyone wanting a deeply sedating auto.
For collectors who like modern fruit genetics in automatic form, this is a neat one: Tropicana Cherry flavour, Tropicanna Poison XL Auto colour and resin, a near-even indica/sativa balance, and an 8–9 week seed-to-harvest timetable.
