Description
Nigiri is a modern, terpene-led release from Grounded Genetics, available as feminised seeds. It uses the selected Xeno cut as the receptor and a reversed keeper of Ultraviolet Sherb as the pollen donor, aiming squarely at expressive flavour, strong bag appeal and worked contemporary US genetics.
The exact cross is (Zkittlez x Kush Mints) x Ultraviolet Sherb. Xeno is a selected Zkittlez x Kush Mints phenotype originally hunted by Alien Labs. Grounded Genetics received this cut from a friend in Los Angeles in 2021, and it has since proved useful across several breeding projects for its quality, consistency and genetic value.
The Ultraviolet Sherb side has a carefully built background of its own. Grounded Genetics began the line in 2020 with the original Sunset Sherb clone, pollinated by reversed Runtz pollen to make Designer Sherb. A keeper from that stock was chosen for strong bag appeal and a fizzy sherbet push-pop terpene profile, mixing candy sweetness, creamy fruit and bright dessert-style flavour.
That Designer Sherb selection was later pollinated with reversed RS11 to create Ultraviolet Sherb. One standout keeper from the Ultraviolet Sherb population was selected for carrying forward the best parts of Designer Sherb while improving structure, vigour and yield. Grounded Genetics then reversed that keeper and used it to pollinate the Xeno cut, creating Nigiri.
Flavour is the clearest reason to look at Nigiri. Phenotypes can be complex and expressive, with candy sherbet, tropical fruit, cream, soft gas and exotic dessert notes all in the mix. The Xeno parent adds Zkittlez-style fruit and Kush Mints depth, while Ultraviolet Sherb brings creamy sherbet, colour, structure and a modern candy-gas edge.
Nigiri is listed for indoor or outdoor cultivation, with a flowering time of 8–9 weeks. Yields are described as medium to high. It should appeal to growers and collectors who like modern candy genetics but still want a worked line with selected parents behind it, rather than flavour alone.
