Description
Pure Lemon Cherry is TH Seeds’ dessert-style California cross with a serious potency angle. It is available as feminised seeds and has been made from Lemon Cherry Pie x Pure Afghan, using a Lemon Cherry Pie cut from Ember Valley in California that was selected from Lemon Cherry Gelato crossed with Georgia Pie. TH Seeds then paired it with pure Afghan to add a more compact structure and reduce stretch.
The balance is listed as 60% sativa and 40% indica, though the Afghan side is very clear in the way it grows. Plants start wide, move quickly through the vegetative stage and keep fairly tight internodes. TH Seeds describes most plants as stretching by around a factor of 2, with some reaching 2–3 times their veg height, so it still wants a bit of room after the flip. Final height is given at 120–160 cm.
Flowering time is around 9 weeks, with yields listed at 550–650 g per square metre. The plant has a Christmas tree shape when grown normally, building big, dense, resinous flowers without becoming overly leafy. TH Seeds suggests growing it naturally or topping once for a better structure; topping and cropping can be used, but it isn’t presented as a plant that needs lots of manipulation.
The flowers are a big part of the appeal here. They are described as dense, colourful and heavy with trichomes, with shades that can run through purple, dark green and even close to black. For extract makers, TH Seeds notes that Pure Lemon Cherry is better suited to ice water hash than dry extract.
The flavour is exactly where the name points, but with a small twist: lemon cherry ice cream with a touch of eucalyptus. That cooler eucalyptus note stops it being just another sweet fruit profile and gives the aroma a sharper edge alongside the dessert character.
Potency is high. Pure Lemon Cherry tested at 30% THC at Mary Jane Berlin 2024, and TH Seeds describes all phenotypes as having strong potential for high THC levels. The effect is heavy and relaxing, with couch-lock style body relaxation and a deep, sleepy finish. The breeder also mentions pain relief, but this is best read as part of the strain’s reported effect profile rather than a medical claim.
Pure Lemon Cherry suits growers who want colourful, dense flowers, a compact-leaning structure and a rich lemon-cherry flavour with real strength behind it. It is also a limited edition release, with 420 packs produced.
