Description
Trop Cherry is all about sharp fruit, colour and resin. Seed City Seeds offers it as feminised seeds, based on the Tropicana Cherry cultivar originally bred by Relentless Genetics from Tropicana Cookies × Cherry Cookies F3. It’s a balanced 50% indica and 50% sativa line, with THC listed at 19–21%.
The parentage is a big part of the appeal here. Tropicana Cookies, itself from GSC × Tangie, is known for bold orange-citrus character and colourful flower expression. Cherry Cookies F3 adds the cherry-forward aroma, resin production and tighter flower structure; that line traces back to GSC/Forum Cut × Fire OG Bx1. In practical terms, Trop Cherry keeps close to the well-known Tropicana Cherry profile: tart cherry, orange zest, sour fruit and a light earthy or gassy edge.
Plants are described as compact and robust, with good vigour, a substantial central stem and a branching hybrid structure. Height is around 1.5 m, so it isn’t a tiny plant, but it stays in a manageable shape compared with rangier sativa types. Blimburn Seeds lists it as beginner-suitable, and it can be grown indoors or outdoors in warm to temperate conditions.
Flowering takes around 8–9 weeks. Indoors, yields are listed at approximately 400 g/m², while outdoor plants can produce around 350–400 g per plant. In the Northern Hemisphere, outdoor harvest falls around late September to October, with October also given as the harvest month by Blimburn.
The flowers are dense, firm and heavily coated in trichomes, with high resin production. Purple to deep violet colouring is strongly linked with Trop Cherry genetics, adding to its shelf appeal when that colour expression comes through. Caryophyllene is listed as the primary terpene, with limonene also mentioned, which fits the mix of cherry sweetness, citrus lift and slightly pungent undertones.
The flavour sits between sweet and sour rather than simple candy fruit. Expect cherry, citrus, pineapple, herbal and earthy notes, with the sharper side coming through as tart cherry and orange/citrus zest. The aroma follows the same path: sweet-tart cherry and citrus over fruity, earthy and lightly gassy notes.
Effects are described by Blimburn as relaxed, while the broader Trop Cherry profile is associated with uplifting euphoria, happiness, focus and gentle physical relaxation. That makes it a good fit if you like balanced genetics with a bright fruit profile, resinous flowers and a calmer finish rather than a one-note heavy indica feel.
