Description
Black Oishii by Archive Seeds takes Oishii #9 and crosses it with Moonbow 112, giving a modern candy-style profile with a darker, fuel-heavy edge. It is available as feminised seeds.
The aroma is the standout here: sharp petrol station fuel vapours alongside fruity, potpourri, earthy and sherbet-breath notes. Archive describes it as a denser, dark purple, resin-covered floral package rather than a simple sweet-shop type. It keeps that modern candy appeal, but with a different growth pattern and increased potency compared with more common Runtz-based candy cultivars.
Flowering time is listed at 63–70 days. Plants are expected to grow on the taller side, so Black Oishii is better suited to growers who are happy to shape and manage the canopy rather than just let everything run untouched. Training is recommended, with Low Stress Training mentioned in particular, and it performs well when used to fill out trellis netting.
Archive also notes that keeping lights closer to the plants, or running them at higher output levels, can help reduce stretch and encourage tighter internodal spacing. If you like fuel, sherbet and darker resin-heavy flowers, Black Oishii has a clear point of difference among today’s candy-leaning genetics.
