Description
Starshine is built for shoppers who like OG weight with a brighter, fruitier edge. Common Wealth Seed Co makes it from Starburst OG x Grape Sunshine, and it’s available as feminised seeds.
The parentage is a big part of the appeal here. Starburst OG is a clone-only California line known for fruity, candy-leaning OG character and deep, soothing relaxation. It traces back to Fire OG x Pre-98 Bubba Kush and was made well known by small-batch growers such as Khash Tree Mason. Grape Sunshine adds a modern fruit-heavy side, coming from Secret Lemon (Lemon Peel x Moonbow) x Tallymon (Banana OG x Dosidos x Papaya). It was previously known as Secret Lemon Tallymon, which gives a useful clue to the citrus and layered fruit profile behind it.
In the grow room, Starshine is described as tall, vigorous and stretchy, with strong branching and large flower clusters. Indoor growers should be ready for canopy management if height is tight, as the stretch is part of the plant’s natural structure. It suits indoor and outdoor cultivation, with a flowering time of 8–10 weeks, or 56–70 days.
Yields are listed as medium to high, with heavy flower production also noted in the breeding notes. The flowers are dense and resin-rich, carrying abundant trichome coverage and excellent hash returns. That makes Starshine especially interesting if flavour-forward extracts or resin production are high on the shopping list, rather than just finished flower alone.
The aroma and flavour sit between candy OG and tropical fruit. Expect bright tropical candy, citrus, fruity sweetness, an earthy OG base and a subtle fuel note. Grape Sunshine brings the livelier fruit and dessert-style character, while Starburst OG keeps the profile grounded with that classic OG influence.
Starshine should suit growers who want a productive, resin-heavy photoperiod with proper stretch and strong flavour. It is not presented as a tiny, low-profile plant; it’s better matched to a setup where height can be managed and the resin output can be properly appreciated.
