Orange Moon

Orange Moon takes a bright, creamy fruit profile and gives it a darker gassy base. Bred by Compound Genetics and available as feminised seeds, it combines Ice Cream Man #5 (Jet Fuel Gelato x Legend Orange Apricot) with Black Amber by Fullmoon Genetics (GMO x OZ Kush BX2). That parentage is the point here: apricot sherbet and orange peel from Ice Cream Man #5, backed up by the diesel, pepper and hashy depth of Black Amber.

This is listed as a 50% indica and 50% sativa hybrid, with headline cannabinoids of 28% THC and 0.1% CBD. The effect is described as coming in two stages. First there’s a clearer, more focused lift, with a creative edge and brighter mood. After that it settles into a calmer body feel without being described as heavy or flat, so it has more balance than a straight couch-lock type.

In the grow room, Orange Moon is a mid-height plant with some stretch and cola formation. The flowers are described as tight, resin-heavy calyxes, and flowering runs for around 56–65 days. Yields are given as medium to heavy when the plant is well dialled in, with the parent lines both noted for reliable production. Indoor yields are listed around 350–500 g/m², while outdoor plants are listed at approximately 100–400 g per plant, with an autumn harvest.

The terpene profile is led by terpinolene, with limonene, beta-caryophyllene and linalool also present, plus traces of myrcene and pinene. In practical terms, expect a nose that starts bright and creamy, with orange peel and ripe apricot, then moves into diesel, pepper and a faint floral hash note.

The flavour follows a similar path. Stone fruit sweetness and vanilla cream come through first, then the kushy gas takes over, finishing clean and earthy. It should suit growers and collectors who like modern dessert genetics but don’t want the sweet side to be the whole story.
