Zapplez – 2.0

Zapplez 2.0 is a terp-led release from Conscious Genetics, available as feminised seeds. It takes Rainbow Beltz 1.0 #4 and crosses it with Zapplez 1.0, a Blue Zushi x Sour Apple Runtz line that became one of the breeder’s best sellers for its creamy sour apple profile, heavy resin and dense Cali-style flowers.

The Zapplez side of the cross is built around a selected #10 phenotype. Conscious Genetics describes that plant as roughly 70% Sour Apple Runtz and 30% Blue Zushi in character, with a shorter frame, very frosty flowers and dense bud structure. Most Zapplez phenotypes were reported to show strong trichome development from around weeks 3 to 4 of flowering, which is a big part of why this parent was chosen for the 2.0 line.

The other half is Rainbow Beltz 1.0 #4, a special phenotype selected by Sour Connoisseur after a hunt through five standout plants. This keeper was chosen for its Zkittlez-dominant terpene profile, with the aim of locking more of those sought-after Z notes into the creamy apple base of Zapplez while also improving resin production, bud structure and potency.

Expect an indica-dominant indica/sativa plant with a short to medium height. Zapplez 2.0 is suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation, with an indoor flowering time of 8–9 weeks; another listing gives this as around 60 days. Outdoors, harvest is listed for October. Yields are described from average to above average, with medium-high indoor performance and high outdoor yield also reported.

The flavour and aroma are the main draw here. Zapplez 2.0 was bred to carry exotic Zkittlez-style terps through a creamy, sour apple profile, with Kush notes also mentioned in the Rainbow Beltz selection. It is not presented as a bland fruit hybrid: the breeder’s focus is very clearly on sweet, potent, resin-rich flowers with a strong organoleptic profile.

Potency is described as high, although no exact THC percentage is given. For growers who like modern dessert-style genetics but still want solid flower structure and visible resin, Zapplez 2.0 has a clear purpose: frosty, dense buds with Z terps layered over the original Zapplez apple cream character.
