Description
Double Stuffed Sorbet is the sort of DNA Genetics strain that makes sense as soon as you see the parentage: Do-Si-Dos crossed with the mystery Sorbet strain. It’s available as feminised seeds and carries a strong indica-dominant balance of around 70% indica and 30% sativa, with the creamy, sweet side of Sorbet sitting alongside the heavier, resinous punch of Do-Si-Dos.
DNA Genetics has been breeding for more than 20 years and is credited with 200-plus awards, so there’s a fair bit of weight behind the name here. Do-Si-Dos brings Girl Scout Cookies-descended indica power, while DNA’s proprietary Sorbet variety adds the dessert-like terpene profile that gives this strain its softer, sweeter edge. The breeder also backs packs with a germination guarantee.
Potency is a clear part of the appeal. Double Stuffed Sorbet is listed at 19–23% THC, averaging around 21%. That strength is matched by heavy resin production, with sticky, trichome-rich buds and a reputation for being useful to growers who enjoy making concentrates as well as those who simply want frosty flowers.
Cream, lemon, berries and cookie sweetness
The aroma is dessert-led without being one-note. Expect a creamy scent with lemon, sweet berry and earthy notes, finished with a sugary softness. The Do-Si-Dos side adds lemon, sweetness, floral touches and earth, while Sorbet rounds things out with a richer frozen-dessert style creaminess.
On the taste, the sweeter parts come through as cookie, sugary fruits and fresh berries, with citrus and a little spice behind them. The finish can move into warm sugar-cane, citrus and caramel cookie notes. Caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene are all mentioned in its terpene profile, which fits the mix of spice, citrus and heavier smoothness.
Strong at first, heavier as it settles
The effect starts with a lift in mood and a clearer, more creative head feel. It’s not described as purely sleepy from the first moment. The early part is more euphoric and upbeat, before the body effect gradually becomes the main event.
As it builds, Double Stuffed Sorbet moves into deep physical relaxation and can become very heavy. Couch-lock is part of its reputation, and the longer-lasting body buzz makes it better suited to evening use or quieter sessions than busy daytime plans. Newer users should take the THC level seriously, as this is a potent strain rather than a mild dessert-flavoured novelty.
Growing Double Stuffed Sorbet
DNA Genetics gives a flowering time of 8–9 weeks, or around 55–65 days. Some growers let it run to 9 weeks to push trichome production. Outdoors or in a greenhouse in the Northern Hemisphere, harvest is expected around early October.
The plant has a medium-tall to tall structure, with a spruce-like shape, a strong central cola and sturdy side branches. Indoor plants are described at around 3–4.5 ft, or about 140 cm, while outdoor plants can reach 6–8 ft, up to about 250 cm. Wide internodes and weighty side branches mean support is worth planning for once the buds start stacking up.
Yields are generous, with indoor harvests listed at 500–650 g/m² in good conditions. Outdoor yields are also described as high under ideal conditions. The plant is vigorous, responds well to topping, tie-down work, trellis support, SOG or SCROG setups, and the dense resinous buds benefit from good airflow. It is also noted for mould resistance, though the sticky flowers can attract insects outdoors, especially in warmer Mediterranean-style climates.
Double Stuffed Sorbet suits growers who want a resin-heavy indica-dominant plant with a sweet creamy profile, solid yields and a strong high that turns notably relaxing after the initial lift. It has enough flavour detail to stand out from ordinary dessert strains, but the real practical draw is the mix of Do-Si-Dos weight, Sorbet sweetness and DNA Genetics’ long-running breeding background.
