Blue Cheese is a great strain based on the multiple crossed genetics of Cheese and Blueberry. Cheese, which arrived from the USA in the 80’s and which is based on original Skunk genetics, was carefully nurtured and developed for both indoor and outdoor use in the UK over the last 20 years by an underground squatter collective. Winner of the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2000 and runner-up the following year, Blueberry is a real genetic jewel. The resulting Blue Cheese is a strong, not very tall plant with a short growth cycle, producing strong lateral branches covered in resin-filled buds.
Cheese strains' impact on cannabis culture?
Due to its strong smell and effects, the original Cheese strain became a staple of UK cannabis culture. Cheese has won over cannabis enthusiasts worldwide and is a popular choice in British cannabis clubs.
Are strains which finish at the End of September more sustainable?
Absolutely. These strains are said to need less water and nutrients since they finish faster. Their low light and heat requirements reportedly make them a greener outdoor production option.
Is it all just about the High THC content and nothing else?
No! Even though THC is the most commonly known psychoactive element within the cannabis plant, even THC heavyweights don't just have strength. It is said that other cannabinoids and terpenes complement THC to create the strain's particular flavour. Due to their chemical makeup, it is well known that two strains with comparable THC amounts may have quite distinct experiences.
Why are many South American cannabis strains majority Sativa?
Equatorial South American nations explain the abundance of Sativa traits in South American strains. These protracted growth seasons produce towering, narrow-leafed cannabis plants that take longer to flower.
How are photoperiod cannabis strains different to autoflowering ones?
Here's where things get interesting: auto-flowering strains switch to flowering mode with age, but 12/12 photoperiod strains need a light trigger. This allows legal growers to fine-tune the light schedule, potentially improving yields and quality.
