GMO Auto

GMO Auto takes FastBuds into a much more savoury corner of the autoflower world. These are feminised autoflowering seeds bred from a California-sourced GMO clone crossed with FastBuds’ Chemdog Auto, keeping the classic GMO terpene profile while moving it into a stable auto format.

FastBuds describes this as a terpene-first project, and that’s the bit that really matters here. Instead of the sweeter, fruit-led and Sherbet-style profiles the breeder had often worked with before, GMO Auto goes for sharp garlic, onion and earthy mushroom notes. The taste is listed as earthy, garlic, herbal and spicy, with a savoury depth that should appeal to collectors who want something more pungent and less conventional.

The genetics are 20% sativa and 80% indica. THC is listed at up to 28%, with CBD below 1%, so this sits on the stronger side of the FastBuds auto range. Reported effects most often include relaxed, happy, sleepy and hungry, with smaller numbers also mentioning uplifted, creative, giggly, energetic and talkative moods.

In growth, GMO Auto is described as medium-sized but XL in overall category, reaching around 80–120 cm. It builds a well-structured frame with solid branching and consistent performance across the population. Flowering takes 10–11 weeks, and it can be run indoors, outdoors, in a greenhouse or under mixed light.

Yields are given at 450–600 g/m² indoors, or 50–200 g per plant outdoors. The flowers are a little more open than some of FastBuds’ denser lines, which the breeder chose deliberately to help preserve terpene quality and stay close to the original GMO character. It is also described as a great washer, making it especially interesting for those focused on that side of the plant.
