Description
Puff Pastry is a sativa-dominant hybrid from Humboldt Seed Company, available as feminised seeds. Its parentage is listed as Obama Kush Z S1 x Blueberry Cupcake x (OBKZ 57 S1), giving it a mix of sweet dessert character, fuel notes and sturdy modern resin production.
The balance is 60% sativa and 40% indica. In use, Humboldt describes the effect as potent and energetic, with an upbeat side suited to daytime creativity, while still carrying some softer indica relaxation for later on. It is not presented as a sleepy indica; the livelier side is the clearer part of its character.
Growers are likely to notice the structure first. Puff Pastry has upright growth, frosty golf-ball buds, hardly any leaf, huge bracts and striking frosty colas. The buds are described as bulbous, dense and sticky, with strong resin coverage. Hash makers also get a clear signal here, as both solventless and solvent extraction production are rated very high, with the plant producing ample light white rosin.
Flowering is given as 50–55 days, with outdoor harvest planning around 20 September to 1 October. It is described as straightforward to grow and adaptable across indoor, outdoor, greenhouse and light-deprivation setups. Performance is rated high indoors and in the greenhouse, average in dep, and very high outdoors. The parent genetics are also noted for resistance to common cannabis diseases, which adds to its appeal for growers who want vigour without an overly fussy routine.
The yield potential is a big part of the attraction. The plant is described as producing amazing yields, with prolific indoor harvests per square metre and even heavier outdoor results. That fits the overall plant description: upright, vigorous growth with dense resinous flowers rather than leafy, airy production.
The terp profile is firmly in dessert-and-fuel territory. The smell is given as chocolate and churros with gas, while the flavour moves through spiced donuts and fuel expansion. The broader aroma also includes chocolate, cinnamon, bright citrus and classic OG fuel, finishing with a smooth draw and a sweet aftertaste that lingers.
Puff Pastry should suit growers after a productive, resin-heavy Humboldt line with sweet bakery notes, gas, a quicker 50–55 day flower and an energetic sativa-leaning effect.
