Although the origins of Skunk can be found in America, this classic plant was originally grown in Holland and it’s one of the most famous strains of marijuana known to date.
This was also the first hybrid stabilized and developed for indoor growing. Skunk refers to its incredibly strong smell ( during flowering and combustion).
To stabilize and acclimatize it to our local conditions, we crossed this Skunk plant with our own Black Domina — a plant that gives it a higher yield and stabilizes the end of the flowering cycle in eight weeks. Although this is our fastest variety, some very indica-rich phenotypes may even finish and ripen fully in seven weeks.
Strain FAQ
Why are short-flowering strains recommended for indoors?
Small and fast-growing, short-flowering strains are popular for indoor use, particularly if there is limited space available. With faster cycles and better space utilisation, these strains are said to boost indoor production.
What makes early-finishing strains more sustainable?
Strains that complete by mid-September are said to be better for outdoor sustainability. They require less artificial illumination, due to evolving in places with shorter daylight hours. Their lower lighting needs make them a more sustainable and cost-effective option.
What are some significant indica terpenes and their effects?
Indica strains can have terpenes like myrcene, which is is said to be a sedative, and linalool, which is said to calm. These create the "couch-lock" effect, making indica strains most desired for deep relaxation.
What to think of when buying tall cannabis strains?
One thing to consider is that some people reportedly find the height of the plant difficult to manage. To limit plant height and promote horizontal development, techniques such as topping and training are used. This management prevents plants from outgrowing their space and ensures even light dispersion.
What makes average yielding strains' terpene profiles unique?
There is nothing particular that binds their terpene profiles together as their genetics are very varied and all cannabis plants have many terpenes. It is the combination of these terpenes which gives cannabis its smell and taste. The combination can result in a range from earthy and piney to fruity and sweet.
