Description
Amnesia is a citrus-heavy, productive Haze-style sativa with a long-running, switched-on effect. Nirvana Seeds offers it as both feminised and regular seeds, giving collectors and growers a choice of format while keeping the same well-known Amnesia character.
The parentage is South Asian Indica x Cambodian, making an 80% sativa and 20% indica hybrid. That sativa side shows in the longer flowering time, the sharp lemon-orange aroma and the clear, uplifting feel. Amnesia Haze also has a strong European reputation behind it, including a first-place Sativa Cup win in 2012 and a place among the best-known Haze varieties to spread across the continent.
THC is listed at 16–20%, with CBD at 0.1–1%. The effect is described as potent, cerebral, uplifting and long lasting, with happy focus and a relaxing edge rather than a heavy couch-lock feel. It is better matched to daytime or busy, alert use than late-night winding down. Nirvana also notes the classic Amnesia warning: too much may bring short-term memory fog.
Big Haze growth with a more manageable shape
Amnesia is sativa dominant, but it is not described as the wildest indoor stretcher. It grows vigorously in veg, forms plenty of long side branches, and can double in size once flowering starts. Indoor plants are reported to finish around 150–180 cm, so it still needs space, but the structure is chunkier and more compact than many tall, loose sativa types.
This is a long-flowering cultivar. Indoor flowering takes 70–84 days, with the broader Haze window given as 11–13 weeks. Outdoors, it is best suited to hot climates such as California, Southern Europe or Mediterranean-like regions, with an early November harvest in mind when planted in April. It is also described as coping well with hot and cold weather and not suffering much from mould or mildew.
Yield is one of its strong points. Indoors, Amnesia can produce 550–650 g/m². Outdoors, with suitable training, nutrients and climate, plants can reach around 1000 g per plant. The buds are described as big, sticky and heavy enough that staking is recommended once they start putting on weight.
Nirvana presents Amnesia as a good entry point into sativa growing in some respects, mainly because it is not excessively stretchy and does not need constant maintenance. At the same time, the grow difficulty is marked as hard, and the breeder recommends it more for people familiar with longer-flowering sativa cultivars. That is the sensible way to read it: manageable for a Haze, but still a plant that asks for patience, space and support.
Training suits it well. Low-stress training, topping, fimming, super-cropping, SCROG and pruning are all mentioned as suitable methods. Its vigour and branching give growers plenty to work with, especially when yield is the aim, though the long flowering time means it is not a quick-turnaround choice.
Sharp citrus, orange and a lasting finish
In flower, Amnesia gives off a sharp citrus blend of lemon, orange and mandarin. The flavour follows with tropical, earthy, citrus and orange notes, and the taste is described as lasting right down to the end rather than disappearing after the first few pulls.
The finished flowers are all about Haze character: sticky buds, strong citrus terpenes, generous production and an uplifting effect that keeps going. If you want South Asian Indica x Cambodian genetics with proper European Amnesia heritage, this is a long-flowering plant, but a rewarding one when that extra time fits the plan.
