Forbidden Fruit Cake from Pure Instinto takes the rich fruit side of Forbidden Fruit and crosses it with Wedding Cake, giving a dessert-leaning indica dominant variety with a clear American flavour. It is available as feminised seeds.

The parentage does most of the talking here. Forbidden Fruit brings musky sweetness and cherry undertones, while Wedding Cake adds vanilla and Kush notes. The finished aroma is described around berries, sweetness, musky depth and a gassy edge, with limonene, caryophyllene and myrcene listed among the main terpenes. Expect the flavour to sit somewhere between dark fruit, creamy cake and Kush rather than plain citrus or sugar.

Pure Instinto presents Forbidden Fruit Cake as a stable, robust and productive plant made from two widely awarded genetics. In the grow room it has a strong character, takes well to plenty of light and nutrients, and is said to be easy to keep under control. Plants reach a medium-high size and can be grown indoors or outdoors.

Flowering is given as 58–63 days, or around 8–9 weeks. Buds form compactly and carry a high resin density. Colour is another point of interest: violet shades can appear through the green leaves and flowers towards the end of bloom, especially when temperatures are low, giving the “purple buds” look many people associate with Forbidden Fruit lines.
