Watermelon Zkittles

Watermelon Zkittles from Pure Instinto is an indica-dominant photoperiod variety made from a cross of Zkittlez x Watermelon. It’s available as feminised seeds and aims straight at the modern fruit-heavy end of the shelf, with a stronger, more grounded finish than the name alone might suggest.

THC is listed at 25–28%, so this is not a mild option. The effect starts with a fast cerebral lift, bringing giddy euphoria and a more unfocused head high, before the body settles into a deeper relaxed state. Pure Instinto describes the main effect as euphoria and relaxation, which fits the way the head rush and heavier body feel develop together.

The flavour is the obvious draw. Broken flowers bring sweet citrus, watermelon and earth, while the smoke or vapour can turn slightly sour and pungent. The aroma has earthy herbs, rich fruity citrus and a sour edge that becomes heavier as the flowers burn. Limonene, beta-caryophyllene and beta-myrcene are named in the terpene profile, alongside lemonish, gassy, spicy and sweet notes.

Indoors, Watermelon Zkittles flowers in around 63–65 days. Yields are given at 500–550 g/m², with plants reaching up to about 1.4 m if left unchecked. It is not described as an especially huge indoor plant, but it does still need sensible control and proper feeding through the growth and flowering stages.

Outdoors, plants are described as medium to high in size, usually around 1.4–2 m, with yields of 650–1000 g per plant. The variety can show purple tones in the leaves, contrasting with pale, resin-covered flowers as it matures.

Watermelon Zkittles is a good fit for anyone drawn to Zkittlez-style fruit but wanting more than simple sweetness. The melon, citrus and sour-earthy gas give it plenty of character, while the 25–28% THC and relaxing body finish put it firmly on the stronger side.
