Description
Futura #1 is Seed City Seeds’ take on a seriously high-powered modern line, built around GG4 × Starfighter F2 genetics. It is available as feminised seeds and keeps the balanced 50% indica / 50% sativa profile associated with this pairing.
The background matters here. Future #1 was originally created by Anesia Seeds from GG4 and a selected Starfighter F2, with selection aimed at very high cannabinoid and resin production. This version follows Blimburn’s take on that same Future #1 line. GG4 brings Chem’s Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel ancestry, along with the sticky resin and earthy fuel notes it’s known for. Starfighter F2 adds fruit-forward aromatics, potency and hybrid vigour.
The headline cannabinoid figure is not shy: THC is listed at 30–37%. That strength is a big part of the appeal, but it also means the finished product is better matched to experienced users, even though Blimburn describes the plant itself as suitable for beginners.
In growth, Futura #1 behaves like a balanced hybrid with a sturdy, bushy frame and strong branching in veg, followed by a noticeable stretch once flowering starts. It reaches around 1.5 m and flowers in 8–10 weeks. The plants can be grown indoors or outdoors in temperate conditions, with indoor yields listed at 400–550 g/m² and outdoor plants at 500–700 g per plant. Outdoor harvest information is less conventional, with Blimburn listing it as “All Season”, while the original Anesia version is usually associated with harvest around the beginning of October in the Northern Hemisphere.
The flowers are large, dense and heavily coated in trichomes. Resin production is one of the most obvious traits in this line, and green or purple colouring may appear in the buds. The aroma is strong and fruit-led, with pineapple and mango coming through first, then sweet citrus and deeper earthy, pungent undertones. The flavour stays in that tropical area too: mango, pineapple, sweet fruit and citrus, with subtle earth and fuel from the GG4 side of the family. Blimburn lists alpha-pinene, limonene, linalool, myrcene and terpinolene among the terpene profile, while Anesia’s original Future #1 also highlights myrcene, limonene and nerolidol.
The effect is described as creative, energetic and uplifted, with a strongly euphoric and stimulating edge. There is also a clear physical relaxing side, so it is not just a bright cerebral smoke. Futura #1 suits collectors drawn to very strong, resin-heavy GG4-based genetics with tropical fruit character and a balanced hybrid build.
