Description
Purple Haze Auto keeps the old-school, sativa-dominant feel of Purple Haze in a quicker automatic form. Seed City Seeds offers it as feminised autoflowering seeds, made from Purple Haze × Auto Purple. The balance is 80% sativa and 20% indica, with THC listed at 14–16%.
The Purple Haze side gives the cross its colourful flower expression, sweet and earthy Haze profile, and more cerebral character. Classic Purple Haze is a historic sativa cultivar most often linked with Purple Thai × Haze ancestry, though the exact origins of the old line are disputed. Auto Purple adds the automatic flowering trait and helps shorten the full cycle from seed to harvest.
This is a robust, vigorous plant with a relatively compact but lively growth habit for a sativa-dominant autoflower. It can reach up to around 1.5 m, so it still has some height to it, but the lifecycle stays fast at 8–10 weeks from germination to harvest. Indoors, yields are given at 350–500 g/m². Outdoors, Blimburn Seeds lists 550–600 g per plant, and the autoflowering nature means it is not tied to seasonal photoperiod.
Purple Haze Auto is described as beginner-suitable by Blimburn Seeds and has a preference for dry conditions, especially warm Mediterranean-style climates. The flowers are dense, hard and resinous, with heavy trichome coverage. Green, purple and violet colours can come through clearly, often set off by orange pistils.
The aroma mixes sweet berries and tropical fruit with earthy, spicy and herbal notes. On the flavour side, expect berry, sweet, earthy, spicy and tropical tones, with cherry-like fruit, herbal Haze and subtle floral touches also linked to the Purple Haze background. The terpene profile includes caryophyllene, linalool, myrcene and terpinolene.
The effect is mainly uplifting and cerebral, with creative, energetic and happy qualities, plus some physical relaxation underneath. That makes Purple Haze Auto a good fit if you like the brighter side of Haze genetics but want the simpler timing and colourful finish of an autoflower.
