Description
49 (Kush x Hindu Kush CBD) is a CBD-rich Kush hybrid from Sensi Research Seeds, available as feminised seeds. It comes from OG Kush and Hindu Kush, two lines known for heavy, full-body Kush effects, with the breeding selection aimed at raising the CBD content.
This variety was originally known as Sensi #49 CBD before being renamed in 2020 after suggestions and votes from the Sensi community. That background is useful because it explains both the number in the name and the plant’s character: a compact indica/sativa hybrid with a classic Kush feel, but with a stated 1:2 THC to CBD ratio rather than a THC-only profile.
Growth is described as compact, with relatively small height gain during flowering. That makes 49 (Kush x Hindu Kush CBD) a more manageable option for indoor spaces, and it can also be grown outdoors where the season suits it. The plants usually form a thick central cola, with much of the bud development gathered around it.
Yields are one of the stronger practical points here. Sensi notes that the plants can produce extremely large to XXL harvests, though the best results may need a bit of care and attention rather than being completely hands-off. Flowering time is described as average, so it is not presented as an ultra-fast line, but it also is not flagged as a long-waiting one.
Outdoors, it is suited to temperate and continental climates and can do well in a normal warm summer. Indoors, its compact structure and central-cola growth pattern should appeal to growers who like Kush-influenced plants that do not stretch heavily in bloom. The feminised format also means there is no need to identify and remove male plants, which is a useful point for newer growers or anyone who wants a simpler flowering run.
The aroma is sweet and sour, with exotic wood, sandalwood and pine notes. As harvest gets closer, that scent can become more pronounced. The flavour follows the same broad line: sweet at first, then more tangy and bitter, with earthy, rich and woody Kush depth rather than a light fruit profile.
Effects are described as potent, fast-acting and deeply relaxing for both body and mind. Despite the CBD focus, this is still presented as having a strong Kush-style couch-lock character, so it is better matched to customers who want a heavier, more restful effect than something bright or energising.
