Description
Afghan Kush is White Label Seeds’ take on a classic 90% indica from the Hindu Kush mountains, the region behind some of the old hash and charas traditions that made Kush lines famous. It is available as regular seeds, producing both male and female plants, so it suits growers who want selection work as well as those looking for a traditional indica for cuttings and parent plants.
The appeal here is very old-school: compact plants, a short flowering time and plenty of sticky resin. White Label gives the flowering period as 45–55 days, which keeps it quick by photoperiod standards. Plants stay fairly manageable indoors, reaching around one metre, though there is a noticeable growth spurt at the start of flowering before the height gain settles down.
Afghan Kush forms dark green, broad-fingered indica leaves and dense, heavy buds with a sparkling resin coat. That resin production is a big part of its use for hashish, charas and hash oil. It is also described as easy to clone, which adds to its usefulness for keeping selected plants or working with mother plants.
Indoor yields can reach over 500 g/m², and the strain is presented as capable of producing well without the extra attention some high-yielding lines demand. A Sea of Green or Screen of Green setup is recommended for best results. Outdoors, Afghan Kush can be grown in moderate or continental climates as long as the summer is warm.
THC is around 15%, but the effect is described as stronger and more sedative than that number might suggest. Expect a happy, lazy, appetite-stirring indica stone rather than something for a packed day. It is much more suited to putting your feet up than staying busy.
The flavour stays close to its hash-making background, with earthy and woody notes and a subtle spiciness. If you like the taste of traditional hashish and want a short-flowering, resinous regular Kush line, Afghan Kush keeps things simple and solid.
