Description
Sticky Gorilla 4 is Pure Instinto’s take on a resin-heavy, high-THC Gorilla-style line, built from Chem’s Sister x Sour Dubb x Chocolate Diesel. It’s supplied as feminised seeds and keeps a high sativa content, while still carrying enough weight in the effect to get very relaxing once it settles in.
The cannabinoid figure is a clear part of the appeal: Pure Instinto lists THC at 25–28%. That makes this a strong choice rather than a casual one. The effect is described as euphoric and energising at first, with relaxation following behind, and it can become properly couchy for several hours. The breeder points it towards social, laughter-filled use, though the strength means it’s best suited to smokers who already know they enjoy potent varieties.
The flavour and aroma are just as important here as the strength. Sticky Gorilla 4 has an earthy, lemonish profile with spice and sweetness, backed by terpenes including pinene, humulene and ocimene. Some phenotypes show a particularly strong gas note, which fits well with the Chem and Diesel side of the family. The breeder also highlights a powerful mouth-filling flavour rather than a light or fleeting finish.
Sticky structure and SCROG-friendly branching
The name is not just for show. Sticky Gorilla 4 produces a heavy coating of thick, aromatic resin as the flowers reach ripeness, and the buds can become compact. Plants have a strong structure, numerous branches and a medium-high size. During vegetative growth and up to around the third week of flowering, branching is vigorous, with thick, robust stems developing as the plant builds out.
Indoors, that branching makes it a good candidate for SCROG. Pure Instinto recommends pruning and making sure all flowers receive enough light, and staking or netting is advised when pushing for maximum production. Flowering time is 58–65 days, with indoor yields listed at 450–500 g/m².
Outdoors, Sticky Gorilla 4 is described as suitable for indoor or outdoor growing and able to perform in a range of climates, with the best results in warm temperate conditions. Outdoor yields are listed at 650–750 g per plant. In wetter areas, the breeder recommends extra care around fungi because the flowers are compact.
Choose Sticky Gorilla 4 if you want a strong, sticky Chem/Diesel-linked variety with branching that suits training, a lemon-gas-spice profile, and a potency level that shouldn’t be underestimated.
