Description
Zapple Woodz is Conscious Genetics’ new-school take on Cheese, built around a proper Exodus Cheese cut and the breeder’s Zapplez line. It is available as feminised seeds, with an indica-dominant profile, medium to tall height and an 8–9 week flowering time.
The cross is Exodus Cheese x Zapplez 1.0. The Exodus Cheese side is the old-school part of the pairing: a celebrated UK cut known for its moreish, terp-rich character, gifted from Dr-Organics Living Soil’s personal nursery. Conscious Genetics notes that a true Exodus Cheese cut has become harder to find over the years, with many versions losing something through repeated breeding, so this parent is a big part of what makes Zapple Woodz stand out.
The Zapplez side brings the newer Cali-style influence. Zapplez itself comes from Blue Zushi x Sour Apple Runtz, and Conscious Genetics reversed its selected Zapplez #10 phenotype for this seed line. That selection was chosen for sour, creamy apple terps, a shorter plant structure and very frosty, dense bud formation. The breeder describes #10 as roughly 70% Sour Apple Runtz and 30% Blue Zushi in expression, with strong trichome production often showing as early as weeks 3–4 of flowering in the Zapplez line.
In Zapple Woodz, the idea is clear: keep the unmistakable Cheese character, then add better structure, density, frost and potency from the Zapplez side. The Zapplez mother used here was milder in flavour than some, but stood out for structure, THC content and bud density. Paired with the Exodus Cheese cut, it gives this release a mix of old UK funk and modern resin-heavy flower style.
Expect plants to finish in around 8–9 weeks of flowering. Height is listed as medium to tall, with average yields, so it is not being sold as a tiny plant or a record-breaking cropper. The appeal is more about the blend of real Cheese heritage, dense frosty flower formation and that sour apple Zapplez background.
Cheese fans are the obvious audience here, especially if you want something that keeps the old-school Exodus feel but doesn’t ignore modern expectations for frost and bud density. Zapple Woodz keeps the parentage simple on paper, but the pairing has a lot going on: UK Cheese depth, Zapplez structure, Sour Apple Runtz influence and a touch of Blue Zushi in the background.
