Description
Dark Side Cheese takes the old UK Cheese idea and gives it a heavier Ultra Genetics twist. It is available as feminised seeds, with a 50% indica and 50% sativa balance, and it keeps the Skunk-based character that made Cheese such a long-running favourite.
The listed lineage is Bright Side Cheese x Shiva The Destroyer. Shiva The Destroyer comes from an unreleased male stud made by crossing the Critical Bilbao clone, a Critical Mass selection from Skunk x Afghan, with one of Ultra Genetics’ in-house Shiva the Dynamite hybrids. That Shiva line uses an elite Skunk x Hindu Kush clone crossed with Dynamite, the Canadian medical cup-winning Grapefruit strain.
That background matters because Cheese itself is a legendary Skunk #1 phenotype that broke out more than 20 years ago and still has a loyal following. Dark Side Cheese is pitched by Ultra Genetics as a sharper modern take on that classic, with stronger flavour than the original Cheese along with improved yield, flowering time and potency.
Flowering time is 8–9 weeks, and it can be grown indoors or outdoors. Yield is described as high, so it should appeal to Cheese fans who want the familiar Skunk family backbone but with more production in mind.
The appeal here is fairly straightforward: proper Cheese heritage, a detailed Skunk-heavy family tree, and a version that followed the release from 2024 after plenty of demand.
