Description
Hawaiian Frost takes its lead from the classic Hawaiian Snow line, using Hawaiian Sativa × Laos genetics in a strongly sativa-dominant form. Seed City Seeds offers it as feminised seeds, with an 80% sativa and 20% indica balance, a long-flowering growth pattern and a bright, cerebral character.
The line has a proper bit of history behind it. Hawaiian Snow is best known through Green House Seed Company, whose original version is also listed as Hawaiian × Laos. In this pairing, the Hawaiian Sativa side brings tropical island sativa character, while the Laos parent adds Southeast Asian ancestry, vigorous growth and a more extended, head-focused effect.
THC is listed at 19–23%. The effect is creative, happy and relaxed, with energetic, focused and uplifting qualities also associated with the line. It’s a better match for fans of clear sativa effect than for anyone after a heavy, sleepy finish.
Hawaiian Frost grows with an open, stretchy sativa structure, long internodes and elongated flowering branches. Flowering takes 10–12 weeks, so it isn’t a quick crop. Plants reach around 1.2 m, with indoor yields up to approximately 700 g/m². Outdoors, yields can reach up to approximately 1,200 g per plant, with harvest around mid-October in the Northern Hemisphere.
It can be grown indoors or outdoors, though it suits tropical conditions and long, warm, sunny seasons especially well. The variety is described as beginner-suitable, but the sativa stretch and longer flowering time make it a sensible choice for growers who are comfortable managing a taller, more open plant.
The flowers form long, dense sativa-style colas with a frosty, crystalline look from strong trichome and resin production. The aroma is earthy and pine-forward with floral notes, backed by citrus, tropical fruit and spicy, incense-like Haze nuances. The listed terpenes are bisabolol, alpha-pinene and humulene, which fit that floral, pine, earthy and lightly spicy profile.
Hawaiian Frost is best understood as a high-yielding, resinous, old-school sativa line with clear Hawaiian × Laos heritage. Give it the time and space expected of this sort of genetics, and the appeal is its mix of tropical-earthy flavour, heavy frost and lively cerebral effect.
