Description
Gello Shotz is loud, resinous and very much in the modern American terpene camp: sharp lime sweets, tropical candy and a heavy diesel finish. Seed City Bulk Cannabis Seeds offers it as feminised seeds, with a sativa-leaning photoperiod structure and a potency range that puts it firmly among the stronger contemporary hybrids.
The genetics come from Seed Junky’s Malibu line. Gello Shotz was created from Malibu, also known as Giraffe Puzzy #1, and Malibu Marker. Malibu Marker itself combines Permanent Marker with the same Malibu selection, so this is a backcross built to concentrate Malibu’s tropical flavour, vigour and strength while adding the gassy, marker-like edge associated with Permanent Marker.
THC levels commonly sit at around 27–31%, with low CBD content. The effect is quick to show itself, starting with a bright cerebral rush of euphoria, mental energy and positive stimulation. It’s described as creative and sociable early on, with a calmer body feel developing underneath rather than taking over straight away.
Vigorous growth with serious resin
Gello Shotz grows with clear sativa influence and usually forms a medium-to-tall plant. Expect strong vertical growth, solid branching and a moderate stretch as flowering begins. The side branches are productive, and the variety responds well to topping, low-stress training and SCROG work when the aim is to open the canopy and bring more flowering sites into good light.
Flowering normally takes eight to nine weeks, with most phenotypes finishing in about 55–65 days. Outdoors, plants are usually ready from late September into early October in suitable northern climates. It can be grown indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse, but the vigorous stretch and nutrient demand mean it’s better matched to growers with some experience rather than a first casual run.
Indoor yields are reported at roughly 400–500 g/m² under strong lighting and well-managed conditions. The flowers are large, dense and heavily frosted, with bright and dark green tones under pale trichomes, vivid orange pistils and occasional purple highlights. The sticky coating is one of the stand-out traits here, especially for collectors who like resin-heavy Permanent Marker-related genetics.
Lime sweets, tropical fruit and fuel
The aroma is intense: fresh lime, citrus sweets and fruit-flavoured confectionery over diesel, gas and chemical funk. During the later weeks of flowering that scent becomes especially strong, with the sweet top notes sharpened by a fuel-heavy finish.
The flavour follows the same pattern. It opens with sweet lime, tropical fruit and sugary candy, then moves into deeper diesel and gassy notes. Some plants may show creamy, herbal or earthy undertones, but the main profile stays centred on tropical lime candy, acidity and pungent fuel. That mix is what makes Gello Shotz distinctive: sweet enough to feel like candy, but far from soft or simple.
Gello Shotz suits shoppers after a potent sativa-leaning strain with vigorous growth, dense resinous flowers and a terpene profile that doesn’t hide in the background. The Permanent Marker influence is there in the gas, while the Malibu backcross keeps the lime-candy side bright and upfront.
