Description
Sundew is a tropical, resin-heavy hybrid from Common Wealth Seed Co, made for growers who like sweet fruit aromas, sticky flowers and a bright, easygoing effect. It’s available as feminised seeds, so growers can focus on raising the crop rather than sorting male plants.
The cross is Honeydew x Grape Sunshine, using Common Wealth Seed Co’s own in-house genetics on both sides. Honeydew comes from Honey Banana x Tallymon, and Tallymon also appears on both sides of Sundew’s wider family tree. That gives the strain a clear tropical backbone, with ripe fruit and rounded sweetness rather than a sharp or fuel-heavy profile.
Cannabinoid content is listed as very high THC of 20% or more, with low CBD at 0–1%. The effect is described as uplifting at first, then gently relaxing without becoming dull or heavy. Common Wealth Seed Co also links Sundew with creative, relaxed and talkative effects, so it suits a brighter hybrid mood rather than a flat, sleepy finish.
Indoors or outdoors, Sundew is described as vigorous, well-balanced and fairly forgiving. The difficulty level sits at easy to moderate, and light training is recommended to open the canopy and expose more bud sites. That makes sense for a plant with strong early growth and enough structure to respond well to a bit of shaping.
Yields are given as medium to high, with above-average returns indoors and outdoors. The flowers are dense and resin-rich, and Sundew is also noted as an impressive hash strain. Its sticky, aromatic resin is one of the clearest reasons to choose it if you care about extraction as well as good-looking dried flower.
The flavour keeps close to the tropical side of the family. Expect sweet fruit, a smooth honeyed note and a lingering finish after the smoke. The aroma is fruit-forward and soft rather than earthy, with the Honeydew side bringing ripe sweetness through the cross.
Sundew should suit growers who want approachable in-house Common Wealth Seed Co genetics, strong resin production and a sunny, relaxed hybrid effect. It doesn’t demand expert handling, but it still gives more experienced growers something useful to work with, especially for sticky flowers and hash making.
