Z42

Z42 is a limited small-batch F1 from FastBuds, made for flavour-led growers who like their genetics rare and loud. It’s available as feminised seeds and comes from Z3 (Terphogz) x Candy Fumez (Bloom Seed Co.), with both sides selected in-house for vigour, structure, looks and terpene expression.

The parent selection is a useful part of the story here. The Z3 came from a Terphogz seed run sourced several years ago, where one standout phenotype was kept and preserved. The Candy Fumez parent was picked from a larger in-house hunt of around 50 Bloom Seed Co. plants, with only the loudest and most expressive female making the cut. Z42 was then made in a small summer batch, with no large-scale reproduction planned.

FastBuds lists Z42 at 50% sativa and 50% indica, with THC up to 31% and CBD below 1%. The plants are medium to tall, with an XL size rating and a stated height of 160–190 cm. Expect solid branching and dense, resin-rich flowers with heavy frost, giving it the sort of visual pull that suits collectors, pheno hunters and anyone who enjoys working through a standout terp line.

Flowering is around 8–9 weeks. Z42 is listed for both indoor and outdoor growing, with indoor yields of 500–600 g/m² and outdoor yields of 120–350 g per plant. The intended climate range covers very hot, hot and moderate conditions, so it’s not presented as a cold-climate specialist.

The flavour is the main draw. Z42 carries a candy gas profile built around loud Z-style sweetness, tropical fruit, creamy sherbet and a smooth sweet fuel finish. The official taste notes are candy, cream and fuel, and the aroma is rated very strong. It’s the sort of profile that should appeal most to terp hunters who want a clear, flavour-first cross rather than a plain production workhorse.

Choose Z42 if you’re after a rare FastBuds photoperiod release with modern candy gas genetics, high resin output and a strong dessert-fuel profile. Once this batch has gone, there’s no planned large-scale follow-up.
