Amnesia Auto

Amnesia Auto keeps the bright, long-running Haze character of Amnesia Haze, but in a quicker autoflowering form. Nirvana Seeds created it from Amnesia Haze x Ruderalis, giving a sativa-dominant plant that flowers automatically rather than needing a 12/12 light cycle. At Seed City it is available as feminised autoflowering seeds.

This is still very much a sativa-style grow. Nirvana recommends it more for growers with moderate to high experience, especially anyone already comfortable with longer-flowering sativa varieties. The Ruderalis side helps keep the plant more manageable than a full photoperiod Haze, but Amnesia Auto still asks for patience, feeding and a bit of support once the weight comes on.

The cannabinoid figures are straightforward: THC is listed at 16–20%, with CBD listed as low, around 0.1–1%. The effect is described as long-lasting, uplifting and euphoric, with a clear, focused feel that suits daytime use for people who like Haze varieties. The supplied effect notes also include sedating and relieving qualities, so this is not presented as a lightweight smoke, despite the bright sativa profile.

Haze flavour in an automatic cycle

The aroma is one of the easiest parts to understand. During flowering, Amnesia Auto gives off a sharp citrus mix of lemon, orange and mandarin. The finished flavour carries tropical, earthy, citrus and orange notes, and Nirvana points out that the taste lasts right down to the end rather than fading after the first few pulls.

That citrus-heavy Haze profile is a big reason Amnesia Haze became such a familiar name in European coffee shops, particularly in Amsterdam and across Holland. This version is intended to keep that well-known Amnesia Haze character while making the plant automatic and faster to finish than a traditional long-running Haze.

Growth, timing and yield

Amnesia Auto grows with thin-bladed fan leaves, thinner woody branches and fairly wide internodal spacing. Plants can reach around 120–150 cm, so it is not a tiny auto, even though the breeder also describes the structure as more compact thanks to the Ruderalis influence. In flower it forms chunky sativa-dominant buds with heavy trichome coverage, and the side branches may need bamboo canes or a net trellis for support.

Indoors, the full seed-to-harvest time is given as 77–94 days, with plants needing at least 11 weeks and some taking up to 13 weeks under HID lighting. It is described as a heavy feeder, so growers should be ready for higher nutrient demand than many easier autoflowering strains. Nirvana recommends smaller pots placed close together in a Sea of Green setup.

Indoor yields are listed at up to 400 g/m². Outdoors, plants can produce around 90 g per plant when grown closely together in a Sea of Green. It can also do well in a large container in a south-facing position.

Outdoor timing sits in the 11–13 week range, with hot climates seeing some plants ready in about 77 days. Nirvana suggests planting in June for a harvest towards the end of August. The strain is particularly well suited to hot climates and long summers, but it is also described as able to handle colder, more difficult weather, with resistance to heat stress and heavy winds.

Amnesia Auto is best chosen by growers who want an automatic version of a classic citrus Haze and do not mind a longer auto cycle. It offers sativa-dominant structure, a bright lemon-orange aroma, 16–20% THC and the sort of lingering Amnesia-style effect that made the parent line so well known.
