Magic Carrot

Magic Carrot is a complex sativa-dominant polyhybrid from Ace Seed bank, available as both feminised and regular seeds. It works from Zamaldelica Elite x Neville’s A5 Haze (Northern Lights #5/Haze A), placing tropical Zamal-influenced sweetness alongside the darker, incense-heavy pull of A5 Haze.

The make-up is close in spirit to Ace’s Colossus family, with Thai, Malawi and A5 Haze in the background, but Magic Carrot adds Zamal for a brighter island sweetness and a more carefree sativa mood. The balance is 80% sativa and 20% indica. Headline cannabinoids are 19.69% THC, 0.04% CBD and 1.90% CBG.

This is a vigorous, tall and strongly branched plant with high yield potential. Indoors, Ace recommends strong light, correct abundant feeding and an 11/13 light/dark flowering photoperiod to help push flowering and reduce the risk of reflowering or too much early stretch. It can be handled by an experienced indoor sativa grower, and it suits both SOG, thanks to its productive main cola, and SCROG or horizontal training, where the side branches can be put to work.

Flowering indoors runs 10–13 weeks. Outdoors, harvest is around the end of October to early November, with best suitability in tropical and subtropical climates, or warm coastal areas with a mild autumn, including Mediterranean-style conditions up to around 43º latitude. Resistance is listed as high against botrytis, and average-high against spider mites, powdery mildew, white fly, cold and heat.

Two main phenotypes appear in roughly equal measure, and both keep the quality and general character fairly consistent. The more refined type has a better flower structure, with large dense colas, a high flower-to-leaf ratio and a polished fruity-floral terpene profile. Its aroma starts with vibrant Thai lemon, then moves through creamy candy sweetness, fresh flower petals, mango, orange, peach, sweet ripe carrot, gas and touches of mint, finishing with blonde hash and exotic incense. The flavour follows the aroma closely, with tropical Zamaldelica sweetness and A5 Haze darkness, without a harsh herbal or woody edge.

The other type is a little taller and more openly sativa in structure, with looser flowers and a wilder terpene profile. Expect earthier, more herbal African notes, still with sweet carrot, soap, gas and decaying floral tones. Ace suggests moderate-high nutrient levels for the tamer, denser type, while the slightly slower, wilder type prefers more moderate feeding.

The effect is potent, long lasting and sativa-led, but it is described as avoiding the uncomfortable or edgy side that some strong sativas can bring. Expect a warm, dreamy and positive psychoactivity with calm motivation, plus relaxing body sensations. Magic Carrot is best suited to growers who enjoy long-flowering sativa genetics and want something with real terpene complexity rather than a simple sweet-fruit profile.
