Description
Afghan Hash Plant Auto keeps things close to the old hash plant idea: compact growth, heavy resin and a warm, earthy profile. Barney’s Farm Seeds has built it from Afghan x BF Super Auto #1, using Afghan landrace influence traced to the Mazari-Sharif region of northern Afghanistan. It is available as feminised autoflowering seeds.
The balance is strongly indica at 90% indica and 10% sativa, and that shows in both the plant shape and the effect. THC is listed at 22%, giving this one a solid modern strength without moving away from its traditional Afghan hash plant character.
Plants stay short, bushy and practical. Indoors, Afghan Hash Plant Auto reaches around 80–100 cm, with broad dark-green leaves and tight internodal spacing. Outdoors it can reach 100–120 cm. The buds are dense and heavy, with a thick trichome covering by harvest, so the variety makes obvious sense for growers interested in resin, dry sift or hash-style material.
The full cycle is fast: 75–80 days from seed to harvest, with no light schedule change needed. Indoor yields are given at 400–450 g/m², while outdoor plants can produce 180–250 g per plant in suitable space, sun and warmth. Its compact frame makes it easy to manage indoors, though the dense flowers mean airflow around the canopy matters late on.
The smell is one of the clearest reasons to pick it. Expect sandalwood first, followed by earthy, resinous hash notes, with citrus cutting through the weight. The flavour follows the same line: smooth hash-like sweetness at the start, earthy and woody warmth through the middle, then a spiced finish on the exhale. It’s not a bright fruit-led auto; the citrus is more of a lift against the deeper Afghan base.
The effect is full-bodied and relaxing, building into a calm, settled feel. The supplied notes also list happy, uplifting and creative qualities, but the main impression is still the classic indica unwind: easing tension, quietening the head and suiting slower evening use when there’s no need to rush about.
Afghan Hash Plant Auto is a good fit if you want a quick, compact autoflower with a recognisably old-school Afghan hash profile. It’s resin-forward, earthy, spicy and manageable, with enough THC to make the relaxing side feel properly present.
