Description
B52 is Silent Seeds’ cross of B-45 x Tropical Jam, pairing the slender, well-balanced structure associated with B-45 with the lateral branching and exotic fruit character of Tropical Jam. It is available as feminised seeds and suits growers who want a productive photoperiod hybrid with loud tropical terps rather than a plain sweet-fruit profile.
The parent choice is the useful bit here. B-45 is described by Silent Seeds as an iconic line known for vigorous plants and balanced architecture, with good light movement and airflow through the canopy. Tropical Jam is a more limited exotic variety, valued here for its vigour, side-branching and dense, productive structure. B52 keeps that combination quite clearly: slender, sturdy plants with plenty of secondary branches and strong vegetative energy through the cycle.
Potency is firmly in modern high-strength territory, with THC listed at 25–26% and CBD at 0.01–0.1%. The effect is described as balanced rather than flat-out sleepy. It starts with a bright cerebral lift, euphoria, focus and a more creative, social feel, then settles into physical ease and muscle relaxation without being presented as heavy sedation. That makes the experience sound more flexible than a one-note couch strain, though the THC level is still not something to underestimate.
Fruit salad terps with a gassy edge
The flavour profile is one of B52’s strongest selling points. Silent Seeds lists the taste as fresh fruit salad and gas, and the detailed aroma notes go further: juicy orange, yuzu lemon, pineapple and ripe mango. The opening is citrus-led, with orange and lemon first, then the pineapple sweetness and mango creaminess come through afterwards.
There’s a nice bit of sequence to the taste rather than just a generic tropical label. The citrus side gives it a fresh, zesty start, the pineapple adds sweetness, and the mango rounds it out with a softer tropical finish. The breeder also points to strong aromatic persistence, so this is aimed at people who like a lingering terpene profile as much as raw strength.
Plant shape, yields and timing
Indoors, B52 has a flowering time of 63–65 days. Production is listed at around 550 g/m², with compact, dense flowers covered in resin. The buds are described as rounded, plump and trichome-heavy, which also makes the variety suitable for producing high-quality extracts according to Silent Seeds.
Outdoors, harvest falls in late September to early October. Plants can become large, reaching around 2.5–3 m, with outdoor production listed at up to 1,500 g per plant. That size is worth taking seriously if you’re planning an outdoor run, as this is not described as a discreet little plant.
The plant is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. It is said to be capable of producing large flowers even with minimal care, but Silent Seeds recommends modern training and pruning methods if you want to push the final yield. SCROG, topping, pruning, top/bottom trimming, defoliation, schwazzing, lollypopping, FIM and main-lining are all mentioned as suitable options. In short, B52 has enough branching and vigour to give an active grower something to work with.
B52 is best understood as a high-yielding, terpene-forward hybrid with serious THC, strong resin production and a fruit-heavy nose cut with gas. It should appeal to growers who like modern exotic genetics, especially when plant structure and extract potential matter as much as flavour.
