Everyone knows how amazing the Chem Dawg D is - this plant provides a funk that can be too intense for some but a delicacy to others. While some call it skunky, others describe it as the smell of tooth decay, and some refer to it as rotten meat, all agree that it is one of the most potent and greasy-fuelie plants available. The Chem D yields big and brings that signature chem taste with deadly potency but we at BCBD wanted to bring you more, and we knew adding some OG funk to it would truly raise the bar! We were going to hit the Chem D with the Tahoe OG - it’s won cups and is a good OG - but we felt average would never cut it! The Tahoe pales in comparison to the Fire OG, so our stud was chosen, and the results were even better than expected. We eliminated the Chem D late hermie trait, gave the offspring better structure, retained yield, and toned down the D funk but added the OG dank. We feel that the Chem Fire is a much better version of the Chem D - Chem D x Fire OG Bx3 is the best of both worlds and a true must-have for every garden!
How has the craft cannabis movement affected North American and Canadian strains?
Organic growing, sustainability, and artisanal breeding are central to the craft cannabis movement in North America and Canada. High-grade cannabis with unique terpene profiles and effects has been bred in these movements, promoting quality and diversity over volume production.
Can diesel strains' strong smell represent an evolutionary advantage?
Diesel variants' strong, pungent smell may discourage pests and herbivores, showing it evolved to endure severe climes. This protective mechanism is just one way in which these plants adapt to their surroundings.
Why are regular cannabis seeds seen as more genetically pure?
Regular cannabis seeds are a throwback to the plant's basic genetics without genetic alteration. These seeds are for cannabis lovers who celebrate the plant as nature intended!
Has cannabis potency altered over time?
Cannabis, a decade ago, reportedly used to have less than 10% THC across the board. Modern breeding methods have quickly resulted in boosted potency with legal breeders striving to accommodate the desire for stronger and stronger cannabis strains. Where strains with 10% to 19% THC were once the strongest, we are now almost getting into 30% and beyond!
Why is legal indoor year-round production practiced?
This is simply because indoor legal grow chambers allow cannabis growing year-round. This freedom from seasonality allows legal growers to produce fresh cannabis year-round and harvest many times, which is obviously much more difficult under the open sky.
