Description
Rubber Tree is built around a loud, unusual terpene profile rather than the usual sweet shop notes. Boudica Seeds made it by crossing Ol’Drippy #3 with Original Buddha Cheese #1, and it is available as feminised autoflowering seeds.
The parentage is the key thing here. Ol’Drippy #3 comes from Hoku Seed Co and brings a heavy Chem-style background: (GMO x I95) x Donny Burger. The I95 side adds its own OG and Chem mix through Triangle Kush x Legend OG x Stardawg IX2. That explains the rubber, fuel and solvent-like sharpness running through Rubber Tree’s aroma.
Original Buddha Cheese #1, from Original Big Buddha Family Farms, adds the other half of the character. The material used is described as a rare grapefruit-leaning sativa phenotype, known for long, oily colas and a dank, skunky citrus smell. In Rubber Tree, that cuts through the darker gassy side with a grapefruit finish rather than turning the whole thing sweet or soft.
Expect a flavour and aroma built around rubber, petrol and grapefruit. It’s the sort of profile that suits terpene hunters who like chemical, diesel-heavy cannabis with a bit of citrus bite at the end. The breeder also points to strong resin production, making it a relevant choice for growers interested in both flower and extraction.
Rubber Tree flowers in around 9–10 weeks. Plants are described as tall, suitable for indoor or outdoor growing, with long, spear-shaped colas coated in resin. Yield is listed as medium-high to high, and the finished flowers are noted for their visual pull as well as their room-filling smell.
This is a Cheese, OG and Chem-influenced hybrid for customers who want something pungent and a bit off-centre. If rubber, fuel, solvent sharpness and skunky grapefruit sound more appealing than soft fruit or dessert flavours, Rubber Tree has a very clear reason to be on the shortlist.
