Alien OG consists of the famed Alien Kush, originally released by Obsol33te under the Cali Connection label. The Alien Kush is known to be a strong afghani. We crossed it originally to our Tahoe OG Kush. We utilized the the Alien Kush male and crossed that to our Tahoe OG female to create our beautiful F1 hybrid. This F1 hybrid allows the best of both worlds, a larger yielding OG Kush flavored plant with a fast flowering time thanks to the Alien Kush and thanks to Obsolete and his gem. Expect a flowering time of 60-65 days. Some phenotypes are faster at 58 days. Yield is medium, Flavor is lemon pledge/nag champa/hairspray.
Strain FAQ
Why are regular seeds so important in the creation of new cannabis strains?
Breeding starts with regular seeds, which provide both male and female plants. This allows breeders to mix and combine features to generate new and exciting cannabis strains. To make children you need a male and a female!
What gives cannabis strains their lemony scent?
Lemony cannabis strains are mostly scented with limonene, a terpene found in citrus fruit rinds. Lemony strains are famous for their zing which some people say puts a boost into their day.
How does OG Kush's genetic diversity show?
The vast genetic tapestry of OG Kush produces a variety of phenotypes with distinct features. This diversity shows OG Kush's genetic plasticity, since strains can vary in flavour, taste, and experience.
How have North American and Canadian cannabis strains adapted?
North American and Canadian strains have evolved or been intentionally selected to thrive in a wide range of temperatures, from the humid Southeast to the cooler, drier North. Strong plants that can withstand a variety of environmental circumstances are helpful for breeders trying to generate resilient hybrid strains.
How has looking for the perfect 50/50 hybrid affected cannabis breeding?
The pursuit of balance has driven cannabis breeding innovation. It's about unlocking new genetic possibilities and understanding the plant better, paving the door for future strain development.
