Blue Applez

Blue Applez is all about loud apple terps and heavy, sticky flowers. Dutch Passion Seeds offers it as feminised seeds, with genetics from Apples & Bananas x Purple OG Punch. The Apples & Bananas side brings the sweet apple and fruit character, while Purple OG Punch adds colour, resin and a more body-led indica feel.

This is an indica-dominant photoperiod variety with reported THC of 25–30%. It’s aimed at growers who want modern US-style flavour without taking on a fussy plant. Dutch Passion describes Blue Applez as vigorous, robust and forgiving, including for newer growers, while still having enough resin, colour and terpene punch to keep experienced growers interested.

The aroma is the standout. Fresh green apple and Pink Lady apple notes come through strongly, backed by sweet creamy undertones, citrus and a little mint. Once ground or smoked, the profile becomes richer: fruity and creamy, with a refreshing sour apple twist plus hints of floral and cheesy complexity. The finish is described as smooth, sweet, slightly sour and creamy rather than sharp or one-dimensional.

In the grow room, Blue Applez has a classic indica-style Christmas tree structure, relatively short internodes and medium stretch. It produces a strong bud-to-leaf ratio and is well suited to SOG. Two main types have been noted by test growers: one makes large, heavy, dense buds, while the other carries smaller flowers that are packed with THC crystals. Both can show attractive purple and bluish tones during flowering.

Flowering takes around 9 weeks, with most harvests coming between day 60 and day 70 depending on phenotype and preferred ripeness. Buds become very dense and trichome-rich late in bloom, and some plants may need support as the flowers put on weight. Indoor yields can reach up to 500 g/m², and outdoor plants are also suited to warm, sunny climates.

The effect starts on the brighter side, with an uplifting, euphoric and clear-headed high. It then settles into a strong physical relaxation with a heavier indica body stone. Taken further, it can become a happy couch-lock type of effect, so it makes more sense as an evening or wind-down choice than a light daytime smoke.

Choose Blue Applez if you want a productive, resinous indica-dominant strain with proper apple sweetness, a sour-creamy edge and colourful late-flowering buds. The flavour is the main draw, but the structure and yield make it a practical one too.
