It then exhibits a rapid spike in growth towards the end of the vegetative phase, reaching a height of 1 meter (3.2 ft). It responds favorably to artificial lighting if grown indoor, and loves the sun when grown outdoor. The West Coast OG yield is up to 650 g/m2 (1.4 pounds per light). It is quite a chunky compact plant that is well suited for cultivation via SOG and SCROG methods.
Colas reach impressive sizes, especially if you provide our West Coast OG seeds with ample nutrients and water. It also has the advantage of being able to endure the mistakes of first-time growers. The buds will develop a fluffy white coating of trichomes in the final weeks of flowering, with the trichome crystals turning amber in color similar to that of carmelized sugar at end of flowering. Strain FAQ
How has OG Kush influenced hybrid strains?
Tahoe OG, SFV OG, and Ghost OG are all descendants of OG Kush. This crucial role in cannabis breeding has led to the production of new strains with its desirable features.
Can feminised cannabis strains create male flowers?
Feminised strains are designed to be nearly always female, yet nature can occasionally throw them curveballs. They may produce male flowers under extreme stress such as irregular light cycles or environmental pressure. This shows that even with thorough genetic selection, other factors are necessary to keep plants on track!
How have North American and Canadian cannabis strains adapted?
North American and Canadian strains have evolved or been intentionally selected to thrive in a wide range of temperatures, from the humid Southeast to the cooler, drier North. Strong plants that can withstand a variety of environmental circumstances are helpful for breeders trying to generate resilient hybrid strains.
Have auto-flowering strains' THC levels changed?
A revolution has occurred in auto-flowering. Previously low in THC, selective breeding has increased their potency quite quickly! Some auto-flowering cultivars now outperform photoperiod ones when it comes to sheer potency!
Why do some cannabis strains smell piney?
Alpha-pinene, present in pine trees, gives forests their pleasant scent. Alpha-pinene gives cannabis its pine-like scent and other qualities.
