We named the cultivar after famed Native American medicine man Tatanka Iyotake. Otherwise known as Sitting Bull, Tatanka was also the leader of the Hunkpapa Sioux—one of the seven council fires of the Lakota tribe. He made his mark on history by leading his people in an effort to counter the European invasion of the late 19th century. Tatanka was also a medicine man known for his potent preparations. Therefore, it seemed fitting to name this healing strain after this historical figure.
We created Tatanka Pure CBD by crossbreeding parent strains Elixir Vitae and Medical CBD. By combining these two high-CBD strains, we successfully amplified the trait. The progeny is an indica-dominant variety positively loaded with CBD.
Tatanka Pure CBD delivers a high level of CBD without any psychotropic effects. Her resinous flowers produce between 9–14% cannabidiol. You can maximise CBD content with optimal lighting and nutrition. Tatanka Pure CBD features 70% indica genetics and provides a calm, clear-headed, and stress-busting high. A large bong or vape hit results in instant relaxation and momentary zen. The THC level of this strain never exceeds 0.25%. You can smoke these flowers all day long while remaining fully functional.
Tatanka Pure CBD offers an unusual yet pleasant smell. Her buds emanate contrasting scents of caramel and bitterness. The terpenes behind this scent confuse the taste buds initially, yet leave a pleasant aftertaste.
Tatanka Pure CBD provides a substantial stash of flowers. Plants grown indoors provide up to 450g/m² after a flowering time of only 6–7 weeks. Plants cultivated outdoors in the elements offer a large return of 450g/plant and reach up to 160cm in height. Prepare to harvest outdoor plants for Early October.

Strain FAQ
Why are short-flowering strains popular?
Strains that flower in 55 days are popular for reducing the time investment necessary or in setups with limited space. Their rapid response to different environments lets legal growers maximise yield quickly.
Is the caramel taste the same for everyone?
Taste and fragrance are subjective, so what tastes like caramel to one person may not to another. Each caramel-flavored strain is distinct in itself but also in how they are interepreted.
What role do low THC strains play in the CBD industry?
Low THC strains are the CBD industry's main source of extraction. This extraction is the main step in producing oils, edibles, and topicals. Without these low THC strains and their legality in some countries, consumers looking for wellness without psychactivity would need to look elsewhere.
What's driving the demand for low-THC strains?
Low-THC strains are becoming popular in the cannabis world due to the increasing number of people who want the potential reported benefits of cannabis without the high THC trip. These strains are said to allow regular use while avoiding psychoactive pyrotechnics!
Does environmental stress impact cannabis' therapeutic properties?
Cannabis plants can increase cannabinoid and terpene production to combat UV radiation and water shortages. The atmosphere may enhance a plant's medical properties, adding to cannabis' complexity.
