Kingston Punch

Kingston Punch is a sativa-dominant collaboration between Dutch Passion Seeds and PelaGatos from Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is available as feminised seeds and started life as a limited edition release in South and Central America before earning a place in the main Dutch Passion collection after strong grower feedback.

The cross is Mimosa x Skywalker Haze. More precisely, the Mimosa side is Californian Mimosa, itself Clementine x Purple Punch, known for fruity terpenes, heavy trichome production and euphoric effects. Skywalker Haze adds its high-THC reputation, strong yield potential, clear cerebral high and fresh haze flavours with citrus and berry notes.

Dutch Passion spent more than four years selectively breeding Kingston Punch, aiming for a mix of flavour, resin production, extremely high THC, dank aroma and reliable growth. The Caribbean and reggae influence is part of the variety’s identity, but the practical appeal is just as clear: it brings tropical sativa character without being described as a difficult, unruly plant.

Despite its sativa dominance, Kingston Punch keeps early flowering stretch limited and manageable. It can be grown indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse, and it suits both SCROG and SOG setups. In SOG it is noted for producing a dense, oversized main bloom, while SCROG growers should appreciate its adaptable structure.

Flowering time is 9 weeks, with yield listed as XL. Feeding is best kept moderate, especially when using mineral nutrients; Dutch Passion recommends keeping EC below 1.8 during the middle to late flowering stage. Outdoors, Kingston Punch is well suited to warm, humid conditions and performs especially well in tropical and subtropical climates.

The terpene profile is bold and long-lasting. Expect ripe orange, juicy mango and sweet exotic spices, backed by a pungent haze-diesel undertone. It is a fruit-led profile, but not a flat sweet one; the haze and diesel side gives it a danker edge and a bit more depth.

The effect is clear, energising and creative, with a cerebral sativa feel rather than a heavy body stone. Dutch Passion presents it as a good match for daytime use, music, artistic work and social settings, where focus and lift matter more than weight. Kingston Punch should suit growers who want tropical flavour, resin, strong THC potential and a manageable 9-week sativa-dominant plant.
