Early Maroc strain comes from a very early seed of a pure variety (Landrace) from Morocco.
Since this is a difficult variety to keep indoors during the vegetative phase, crossing to feminize it was long and hard work.
Ideal for outdoor and Guerilla grows. Not recommended for interior.
When the plant is green it gives off sweet aroma, very similar to a strawberry bubblegum. Once dried and cured, this scent is transformed into a fragrance of spicy tones and old wood. Its flavor is reminiscent of black pepper.
As for its effect, this is slightly euphoric in the first 30 minutes, and during the second phase of the buzz, becomes a relaxing effect on body and mind. This second phase is of short duration.
Strain FAQ
Which terpenes give cannabis a piney smell?
Alpha-Pinene and Beta-Pinene give the scent of a lush forest.
Why are strains that finish in September seen as particularly valuable?
Fast maturation makes these strains valuable in locations with short, severe summers. They prevent mould and pests by being ready for harvest before colder, damp conditions set in. This reportedly makesg them a practical alternative for successful harvests in poor climates.
What drawbacks does IBL strains' minimal genetic diversity cause?
The genetic uniformity of IBL strains makes them predictable but limits genetic variety. Since IBL strains have less genetic variety for resistance, they may be more susceptible to pests and illnesses. Thus, legal producers may need thorough pest and disease management.
Why do tall strains generally have extended flowering times?
Tall cannabis strains flower longer due to their usually Sativa genetics. This elongated flowering process is said to allow for more complex flavours and powerful cannabis characteristics. They typically flower for 10–14 weeks, unlike shorter, Indica-dominant strains.
What distinguishes African and Middle Eastern landraces?
African cannabis landrace strains, especially around the equator like Ethiopia, are among the oldest. These genetically pure strains have adapted to their respective settings for decades. Landrace strains from Afghanistan and Lebanon are resilient and produce strong resin, which is needed for hashish manufacture.
