Hindu Kush

Hindu Kush is the old-school Kush choice in the Barney’s Farm Seeds line-up: a 100% indica landrace descended from the Hindu Kush Mountains. It’s available as both feminised and regular seeds, giving you the option of straightforward female plants or regular stock for selection work.

This is a compact, sturdy indica with the familiar squat shape, broad dark leaves and short, bushy branching that helped make Hindu Kush genetics so well known. THC is listed at 26%, and the effect is described as a heavy body stone with euphoria and deep relaxation. It’s a clearly evening-leaning profile, rather than something light or racy.

Indoors, Hindu Kush stays manageable at around 80–120 cm and flowers in 55–65 days. Yields are given at 550–600 g/m² under indoor conditions. Outdoors, plants can reach around 200 cm and produce up to 1000 g per plant, with harvest listed for the first to second week of October.

The flowers are dense, compact and resinous, with a heavy trichome coat that gives the buds a sticky, frosty finish. Barney’s Farm also notes that plants may show purple or deeper colour tones, especially when exposed to colder temperatures. That resin output is one of the more practical reasons this line has long been associated with traditional hash-making.

The aroma keeps close to classic landrace Kush: pungent, earthy and woody, with citrus cutting through the heavier notes. On the taste, sweet sandalwood comes first, followed by earthy depth and a fresh citrus edge. It’s not a modern dessert-style profile; it’s more traditional, grounded and unmistakably Kush.
