In the late 90's in Southern California, some particularly excellent batches of OG Kush circulated the underground market as Face/Off OG Kush. A well-connected friend scored a small handful of seeds from that herb. He gifted me a half dozen of them, and this plant, #4, was grown and selected from those seeds for itís overwhelmingly unique flavor and skull crushing high. A strain not intended for the lightweights, it may turn some green for a minute or two, with an almost nauseatingly potent, initial head high. Great for heavy pain relief without the grogginess or fog of many pain medicines. This is our second Backcross to the original mother plant.
Why has OG Kush won multiple awards?
OG Kush has won many honours for its unique scent and stress-relieving effects. Its mysterious origins make it appealing and it is the basis of many West Coast cannabis types.
Why are hybrid cannabis strains created?
Hybrid strains are often created to improve flavour, THC/CBD ratios, or relaxation or energy effects. Hybrid cannabis allows for a variety of strains to suit different tastes and needs.
Why are regular seeds so important in the creation of new cannabis strains?
Breeding starts with regular seeds, which provide both male and female plants. This allows breeders to mix and combine features to generate new and exciting cannabis strains. To make children you need a male and a female!
What makes average yielding strains' terpene profiles unique?
There is nothing particular that binds their terpene profiles together as their genetics are very varied and all cannabis plants have many terpenes. It is the combination of these terpenes which gives cannabis its smell and taste. The combination can result in a range from earthy and piney to fruity and sweet.
How are photoperiod cannabis strains different to autoflowering ones?
Here's where things get interesting: auto-flowering strains switch to flowering mode with age, but 12/12 photoperiod strains need a light trigger. This allows legal growers to fine-tune the light schedule, potentially improving yields and quality.
