Using a Super Silver Grail Haze male gifted to us by our internet friend “has_some_sense”, we pollenated “Princess” - the mother of Cinderella 99.
The SSGH male is the result of our friend’s having crossed his keeper Cinderella 99, the female dubbed "The Grail" to a very select Super Silver Haze male. The result of recombining these genes unlocked a real jewel; this male added potency, vigorous growth, and large, strong branches to the progeny.
The resulting “Princess Haze” plants have a more robust branch structure than Princess; the buds look like Princess on steroids. The resin production is amazing – giving the flowers and bud leaves a furry white covering. As for the aromas, most smell of sweet, tropical fruits and incense however, there are a few that are dank ass stinkers… we’re talking stuck in an elevator with body odor folks. Fortunately, cannabis smokers love those types of odors, and the potency of either phenotype is just phenomenal; the high comes on immediately with your first hit; a very spiritual glow and tingling sensation with each breath you take. Think Cinderella 99… but bigger, more resinous buds.
Which terpenes give cannabis its incense flavour?
Incense flavour comes from several terpenes. Myrcene is earthy and musky, linalool spicy and flowery, caryophyllene woody and peppery, and humulene earthy. Pineene refreshes the incense character with its piney richness.
What does this strain's Central American and Caribbean heritage mean for it?
Unique biodiversity in Central America and the Caribbean affects cannabis strain genetics, resulting in their varied terpene profiles. These traits produce earthy, woody, lemony, and sweet scents and flavours. They create a presence that reflects their' rich natural surroundings.
Are there any particular challenges with Sativa strains?
Yes, the vigorous growth and tall stature of Sativas can pose a challenge in confined spaces. Techniques such as "Screen of Green" (ScrOG), topping, and LST (Low Stress Training) are often employed to manage their height and promote more horizontal growth, making them more manageable indoors.
