The Velvet moon is the result of our selection of the famous Dosidos from USA, crossed with one of the last breeding project made by Franco, the Holy punch.
The result is a great vigorous, and amazingly esthetic plant with a very sweet and potent smell. The stretch is moderated, perfect for indoor and outdoor growers, with a very good branching on the side that can hold steady without support until the end of flowering.
It will form some beautiful and very compact round flowers with big round calyx from the Holy Punch and the density and resin production from the Dosidos.
The smell is a perfect balance of both parents, it has the pungent sweetness like fresh fruit with perfect maturation of the holy punch, combined with some acid lemony and earthiness from the dosidos. A perfect combination of acidness and sweetness with the creamy earthiness on the exhale of the smoke makes it a great flavourful smoke.
Strain FAQ
Do you know which terpenes give these strains their fruity flavour?
Sure! The sweet, mango-like aroma of myrcene is said to relax, while limonene is said to boost mood with its zesty scent. Caryophyllene is peppery, pinene adds a crisp, piney and apple note, while terpinolene adds citric, floral, herbal, and piney notes.
Why do strains finish at the Beginning of October?
These genetically engineered strains flower earlier to prevent late fall cold and shorter days. Northern legal producers use it to ensure their plants finish their cycle in time to avoid seasonal environmental issues.
What does this strain's African and Middle Eastern background mean?
African cannabis landrace strains, especially around the equator like Ethiopia, are among the oldest. These genetically pure strains have adapted to their respective settings for decades. Landrace strains from Afghanistan and Lebanon are resilient and produce strong resin, which is needed for hashish manufacture.
How do moderate THC strains control psychoactivity?
Mid-range THC strains are said to be able to provide happiness and relaxation without the highs or paranoia of heavier, stronger strains. This reportedly makes them appealing for mental clarity and other benefits.
Why are harvest times for outdoor cannabis strains seasonal?
Outdoor cannabis is obviously at the mercy of the seasons, with legal growers typically reaping their bounty once a year in the fall. This natural rhythm dictates the supply and could even sway the cost of these strains in the market. This makes the timing of the harvest a crucial factor for legal outdoor cultivators.
