Our biggest yielder Chronic was crossed with Remedy, a strain with extremly high CBD-content, in a collaboration with the CBD-Crew. The combination was lab-tested in Spain and ALL 10 samples had a 1:1 ratio of THC:CBD. The average potency was 5,4 % THC : 5,8 % CBD, with the best plant scoring 7,88 % THC and 6,93 % CBD! CBD-Chronic can produce top-yields of 600 g/m2 and is easy to grow and clone. She grows a HUGE top-cola with little side-branching. This first purely medical CBD-strain of Serious Seeds is a milestone, which enables patients/caregivers to produce big amounts of medical cannabis containing high levels of CBD. The production of medical extracts (e.g. Rick Simpson Oil) and lotions, cremes or ointments is made much easier with this strain. CBD-Chronic is a medical strain, which is very well suited to treat the symptoms of e.g. Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, Tourette-syndrome, Glaucoma and Arthritis.

Strain FAQ
Where do high CBD strains stand legally?
The legality of high CBD strains can be confusing. Local restrictions differ, with some favouring strains with a specified CBD-to-THC ratio. Most commonly there is a maximum allowed THC percentage of something like 0.2% and as long as the strain does not produce more than this, it is seen as legal. This patchwork of restrictions is creating a confusing but promising CBD-rich product industry.
Why are many low-THC strains high in CBD and cannabinoids?
These strains frequently prioritise CBD or other non-intoxicating cannabinoids over THC in breeding. This reportedly reduces psychoactivity and is said to provide a variety of therapeutic advantages, from pain and inflammation relief to nerve relaxation, without sending the user on a cosmic trip!
How do beginner-friendly strains handle over or under-watering?
Beginner-friendly strains often have a higher tolerance for watering mistakes. They can withstand occasional over or under-watering without significant harm, making them more forgiving as new growers learn the proper watering balance.
