There has always been a growing interest in cannabis cultivation in the UK despite its continuing status as an illegal subtance. In fact a prior Prime Minister of ours, Theresa May's husband is significantly invested in GW, which is one of the biggest cultivators of cannabis in the world. 

It seems only a matter of time before the UK catches up to those places like Thailand, Canada and the USA, where a much more sensible approach to cannabis and an appreciation of its medical benefits has resulted in either full legalisation or decriminalisation to such an extent that it is no longer seen as a crime worth prosecuting. Until that point however it is well worth remembering that as a Class B drug, dealing, producing or trafficking in the substance can result in a prison sentence of up to 14 years as well as unlimited fine. The maximum possible prison sentence for possession of cannabis is 5 years but smaller amounts are most likely to result in what is known as a "cannabis warning", which results in a record being kept but does not result in a fine or anything which would show up on a DBS Check.

Considering that offences regarding cannabis possession account for around 2/3 of all drug offences in the UK, it is hard not to image how much more time could be spent on "crimes" that hurt people or that cause much more damage to society than the possession of a small amount of a substance which is not very much legal elsewhere. Currently there is a great difference depending on where you are in the UK as to whether the police are likely to follow through with prosecution for possession of cannabis with areas such as Cambridge having as low as a 14% follow up rate and other areas having as high as 65%.

It is only relatively recently that feminised seeds have become available and before this time every seed was a regular seed. A regular seed is simply a seed which isn't feminised and means that it could grow into either a male plant or a female plant and there's a 50% chance of either, just like with us! A feminised seed does what it says on the tin and will only produce female plants. Generally most people, unless they're intending on breeding their own strains, are after feminised seeds as it is the female plant which grows the buds which most growers are after.
