San Bacio Gelato thrives with vigorous vegetative growth, retaining a compact structure thanks to its Indica dominance. Its distinctive lateral branching promotes uniform bud development across the plant. Despite its dense foliage, the strain is careful in nitrogen consumption and requires stronger feeding regimes. Its adaptability to both arid and humid climates, coupled with minimal support requirements, makes it versatile. Optimal for cultivation outdoors and indoors, it is reportedly advised to manage 6-9 plants per square meter to effectively utilize canopy space. Strategic defoliation enhances light penetration, crucial for flowering periods.
This strain features an incredibly complex terpene blend, delivering sharp berry tones meshed with cinnamon, spicy black pepper, soft lemon peel, and hints of earthy pinewood. Known for its resin-dense buds in the final flowering weeks, it demands at least one layer of trellis support as buds mature. Minimal pruning is said to be suggested, except in selected phases, to ensure even light distribution and optimum flower development throughout the plant.
