Citron Sour, created by Karma Genetics, blends their iconic LemonTini and KG Sour D Bx to produce a citrus-heavy hybrid. It emits a wide spectrum of citrus aromas and flavors, leaning heavily towards orange and lemon, with select phenotypes also revealing a strong gassy scent. When managed correctly, especially in terms of phenotype selection, Citron Sour can yield impressively. This strain shows a medium to high stretch in the early stages of flowering, reportedly requiring a reduction in nitrogen until halfway through the period. It hits full bloom between weeks nine and ten.
The mother of Citron Sour is a crossbreed of White Sumo and LemonTini, enhancing its citrus profile. White Sumo itself is a product of Sumo Tangie and White OG, offering a mix of citrus terpenes that span from orange and mandarin to lime, pine, and a touch of exotic sweetness. This blend was developed in cooperation with Cali Kush Farms. On the other hand, LemonTini marries a Lemon Tree clone with Karma Genetics’ KG Sour D Bx2, adding an invigorating diesel kick to the lemony zest. The combination makes Citron Sour a rich and complex offering for citrus enthusiasts, with significant resin production hinted at from its White Sumo lineage.
